Milk is our very first food – and one of the most amazing ingredients in our pantry. Learn the history and chemistry of milk and how you can transform this versatile ingredient into various cheeses, yogurt, butter, and ice cream. Participants will make mozzarella to take home, and participate in crafting other artisanal dairy products, as well as taste milk in a wide variety of forms. Class will be taught by expert food preserver Chef Ernest Miller.
